SAFETY

Driving comfort, excellent visibility and suitable engine versions are the number one safety feature. In addition to new boosted and optimised braking systems, Ducato also offers the most advanced technology, to ensure control even in extreme conditions.

CRUISE CONTROL and SPEED LIMITER

Cruise Control allows you to set the cruising speed and keep it constant. The Speed Limiter incorporated into the Cruise Control on the 130, 150 and 180 MultiJet versions allows you to set the maximum speed that the vehicle can reach, increasing its safety. With the accelerator pedal fully depressed, the driver can exceed the limit set for specific overtaking manoeuvres.

ESC

ESC intervenes in emergency situations, for example in sudden swerving manoeuvres around an obstacle. It monitors parameters such as lateral acceleration, speed, grip and angle of the steering wheel. It processes the data and, if necessary, intervenes on the drive torque and braking system to restore perfect stability to the motorhome. ESC is also available on Al-Ko versions. The ESC (Electronic Stability Control) system includes: LAC (Load Adaptive Control), which monitors the load distribution and interacts with the ESC to adapt its intervention threshold; ASR (anti-slip regulation), which prevent the wheels from slipping when setting off; MSR (Motor Schleppmoment Regelung), which prevents loss of grip with sudden downward gear changes; HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assistance), which increases braking force in the event of an emergency.

ROLL OVER MITIGATION

New additional assistance for the ESC in situations where the risk of rollover is greater, which reduces rollover, in other words the side inclination of the motorhome with respect to the road surface, even on bends.

HILL HOLDER

Keeps the vehicle braked when starting uphill, inhibiting rearward motion without using the handbrake. The brake is released automatically (integrated with the ESC) when the engine delvers enough torque to move the vehicle forward.

LDWS (LANE DEPARTURE WARNING SYSTEM)

The Lane Departure Warning System can determine whether the motorhome is changing lane when the driver does not wish it to, even in low-visibility weather conditions. In the event of danger, an acoustic and visual signal alerts the driver of the potential impending threat.

TRACTION+

Traction+ is the innovative traction control system that helps you tackle low-grip surfaces. In the presence of ESC and under conditions of low or zero grip from any drive wheel, the control unit detects slip and brakes, transmitting the drive torque on the wheel with greater grip on the ground. In this way, the motorhome’s performance is more comfortable, ensuring the best stability and handling. It is activated only when necessary, using a button on the dashboard and up to 30 km/h.

HILL DESCENT CONTROL

On the steepest downhill slopes, in the presence of Traction+, it maintains the desired speed without the need to operate the brake. So you can focus on steering, without distractions. It is activated via a dedicated button on the dashboard.

TPMS (TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM)

Using the on-board camera of the LDWS, TSR assists the driver by recognising speed limit and overtaking signs and reproducing them on the on-board display so as to inform the driver.

TSR (TRAFFIC SIGNS RECOGNITION)

Using the on-board camera of the LDWS, TSR assists the driver by recognising speed limit and overtaking signs and reproducing them on the on-board display so as to inform the driver.

HIGH BEAM RECOGNITION

In the presence of the LDWS, this manages the automatic activation and deactivation of the main beam headlights, increasing visibility and reducing the risk of dazzling when driving at night, recognising vehicles travelling in the lane.

RAIN AND DUSK SENSOR

The Rain Sensor, in accordance with the intensity of the rain, activates the wipers and regulates their speed.
The Dusk Sensor automatically switches on dipped headlights when the outside light is insufficient.

REAR CAMERA

Incorporated in the third brake light on van versions, it provides a wide, detailed view on the radio system’s 5" screen, with reference lines designed to help identify the distance from obstacles and protrusions of the vehicle. It activates automatically when reverse is engaged. It can also operate with the vehicle stationary, without reverse gear engaged and with the rear doors open.
