CROATIA - This land offers a string of natural beauties, one after another (a perfect itinerary to be discovered with your Fiat Ducato base motorhome), even concealing a host of wonders in the middle of the sea! In fact, Croatia is dotted with about 1200 islands.

One of these is Cres, a magical place, part of which is still wild: indeed the northern part of the island is uninhabited and covered in forests and thick vegetation.

How to get there - To reach the island with your Fiat Ducato motorhome, you can take the ferry from the port of Brestova: the journey from there to Porozina, on the island of Cres, takes about 30 minutes. If you want to also include the island of Krk in your trip, with the Valbiska-Merag line you can move between the two islands in just 25 minutes.

Why go to Cres? – Very few locations have remained as real and untouched as this island: you’ll be thrown into another dimension, with a crystal clear sea framing its beauty. For motorhome owners with a passion for underwater sports, Cres is a true paradise: here a full range of diving and snorkelling opportunities await you! But the island has something for everyone: every area is characterised by a different type of landscape and by the possibility to enjoy a range of different experiences. For example, Lake Vrana lies in the centre of the island, an attraction with legends that have always drawn the curiosity of visitors (ask some of the locals to tell you its stories when you get there!), as well as the attention of UNESCO.

GREECE – Planning a trip in this country? Get ready for an earth-shattering stopover, as we set off to discover Meteora on board our Fiat Ducato base motorhome.

What is Meteora? A complex of twenty monasteries at the foot of the Pindus mountains, which can be reached via a set of steps dug into the rock. A fantastic landscape, in which each monastery looks as if it is suspended and unreachable, perched high on the rocks. A trip in which the spellbinding views and range of emotions you experience will definitely remain with you forever.

How to get there – To reach this enchanted location, you can take the ferry from Ancona, Bari, Brindisi, Ravenna, Trieste or Venice, getting off at Igoumenitsa. Bear in mind that, when travelling in a motorhome, you can use a range of services on board the ship, such as electricity, water, bathrooms, showers and will have full access to all the public areas.

Why discover Meteora? – There must be a reason why this complex of monasteries, founded in the 14th century, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998! An excellent way to begin your holiday in Greece, before then moving over on to the coast, to enjoy the first rays of summer sun.

ITALY– If you’re planning a trip towards the south of Italy on board your Fiat Ducato base motorhome, mark Sperlonga on your map and remember to stop in what is one of Italy’s most beautiful towns. You’ll not only be bowled over by its beautiful beaches, but also by the sights, sounds and scents you drink in as you pass through the intricate alleyways of its old town centre.

How to get there – From the motorway, take the exit for Frosinone, continue towards Terracina, then go towards Sperlonga along Via Flacca.

Why stop at Sperlonga? – We’re sure that the whole family will love everything this town has to offer. If you love walking and nature, for example, it’s good to know that the town is the perfect departure point for a trek to the National Park of Circeo! Warning: forget dancing on the tables until dawn… Sperlonga offers many characteristic (and also romantic) bars and restaurants, but not much in the way of entertainment for those who love dancing the night away. It appears to be an excellent location in which to stop off and relax, before setting off again on our travels!
