Spa resorts have always been places for relaxation and well-being, not only physical but also mental. They have distant origins and have developed in a wide range of cultures. Around Europe, they experienced a new spurt of growth a few years ago and remain some of the most popular destinations for those who want to combine a holiday with a healthy experience. They are warm places and can often be enjoyed even in winter (check when they are open).
Motorhomes can be the perfect base to spend one or more days at a spa. Several locations include spaces to park a motorhome next to the thermal baths or in the immediate vicinity, in car parks, equipped areas or campsites. Spas are an experience to be enjoyed as a couple, but often also as a family. Indeed, there is no shortage of spas that can also be accessed by children. There is a very wide range of activities available at a spa, from treatments pure and simple to more leisurely ones: aerosols of beneficial vapours, body regeneration with mud and purification of the body through water intake, but also massages, saunas and enjoyable itineraries in the warm water. Many spas have a water park nearby, perfect for children. And there is never a lack of opportunity to take a pleasant break for a drink, an aperitif or a decent dinner.
But which spas are the most suitable to be reached in a motorhome? There are many options all over Europe: here are some resorts that are well suited for the combination of spas and parking spaces for motorhomes.
